Magician Doug Roy has a life-long passion for the art of magic. His specialty is performing for young audiences, and loves to make each birthday child the STAR! He also loves to mentor young wanna-be magicians. Doug offers TWO FUN OPTIONS for Birthday parties: 1) Fun-filled MAGIC SHOW: Perfect for children ages four to eight. The birthday child plays an active role in the show, and even gets to do the final trick - producing a LIVE rabbit - in full magician attire (cape and top hat)! 2) Fun & educational MAGIC CLASS: Perfect for children ages nine to 12. The birthday child AND guests all witness several magic tricks, learn HOW to perform the tricks, and then PRACTICE the tricks in front of each other! Yes, they not only are thoroughly entertained, but they also learn a FUN skill that they can use the rest of their lives. (Note: The "goodie bags" that the children take home with them contain all the materials (cards, rope, etc) that are required to perform the tricks!) PRIVATE MAGIC CLASSES: For kids who can't get enough of a good card trick or sleight of hand trick, Doug can also teach private magic classes for kids. In the classes, children ages eight to 14 can learn some tricks of the trade and see if they have what it takes to be a master magician. Classes meet for four weeks, one hour each week.
