SLUG Magazine — Causing a Scene since 1989! An acronym for SaltLakeUnderGround, SLUG Magazine is one of the oldest independent print zines in the nation that continues to publish regularly. SLUG circulates 30,000 issues monthly throughout Utah and several surrounding states. In today’s world with corporations controlling media and restricting information flow, magazines like SLUG have become increasingly important. Unfiltered, responsible, witty and cutting edge; SLUG’s coverage includes local and national music, action sports, art and politics. SLUG recently celebrated its 20th birthday in February of 2009.
