CareSource has been locally owned and operated since opening in 1997. CareSource provides home health and hospice services to patients in their homes, in addition to having Utah's only inpatient hospice facility. Home Health includes services that are provided to patients in their homes when they need a skilled nurse, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social worker, or home health aide assistance and cannot leave their home to get this help. Just a few of the things that might be provided include medication injections, wound care, catheter care, colostomy/ostomy care, therapy exercises to improve walking, balance, or transfer abilities, and personal care services such as assistance with bathing and dressing. Hospice care includes services that are provided to terminally ill patients. They may include skilled nursing, medical social worker, chaplain, massage therapy, home health aide, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and medications. Additionally, CareSource has one full time and two part time physicians on staff to visit patients in their homes. CareSource also has The Residence of CareSource, Utah's only dedicated inpatient hospice facility.
