FINN’S FROZEN BLUE CHEESE
History
Finn’s Frozen Blue Cheese Dressing was born on New Years Eve 40 years ago. In December of 1964, big Finn (Finn senior) made a large quantity of his homemade blue cheese salad dressing. He put the extra dressing in the freezer.
On a busy New Year’s Eve, the restaurant ran out of dressing. Finn grabbed the frozen blue cheese out of the freezer and served it directly on the salads. The customers loved it!
This was the beginning of the frozen dressing. Over the next decades, big Finn experimented with ingredients, and process of how to make the dressing until he perfected it.
This dressing was used in the restaurant for over 30 years, and has drawn comments from patrons and reviewers since. See SLweekly

New Finn’s
In July of 2006, the new Finn’s opened. Unlike the original Finn’s, which was a continental dinner restaurant only, the concept of the New Finn’s was a breakfast and lunch café. Along with the restaurant, we planned on introducing a commercial line of condiments that we have used in the restaurants.
The first and most famous of these condiments that we plan to sell commercially is the finn’s frozen blue cheese salad dressing.
Because of the way the dressing is manufactured, and the fact that it is frozen, we do not have to add fillers, stabilizers, or preservatives. The ingredients are natural and simple. Another quality of the dressing is that it lasts in the freezer for months after being opened. You can just take out of the freezer and use the amount you need: No waste.
Finn’s dressing can be used anywhere that you can use a blue cheese. You can put it on salads, burgers, steaks, make sauces, marinades, put directly on bread and toast, mix with other dressings, vegetable dishes, etc.
